Our Hands-On Test of Systeme.io

What we tested: MarketingFlow created a test opt-in funnel on Systeme.io's free plan, edited a landing page with the visual builder, explored workflow automation, created a test course with a module and lecture, enrolled a test student, verified the student login flow, and successfully opened a downloadable course resource.

Building and editing a funnel

We created a test opt-in funnel and opened its visual page builder. The editor provides drag-and-drop elements such as text, headlines, lists, images, video and other page components. We were able to edit the landing-page headline directly in the builder and save the change.

Exploring workflow automation

We also created an inactive test workflow using a funnel-form subscription as the trigger. Systeme.io presented actions including sending an email, subscribing a contact to a campaign, adding or removing tags, sending an SMS and enrolling a contact in a course. We explored the setup but did not activate the test workflow.

Testing the course builder

For the course tools, we created a test course, added a module and lecture, edited the lesson page, activated the course and lecture, and enrolled a test student. The test student received the account-access email, set a password, opened the course on mobile and successfully accessed a downloadable resource.

Hands-on takeaway: In our test, the funnel builder and course-access flow worked as expected. Some setup steps were less obvious at first—for example, newsletter creation required a configured sender email, and a workflow action that adds a tag requires an existing tag. Those are useful setup details for beginners to know before they start.
